First off, Merry Boxing Day! Second of all, it's Monday, so take a gander at the last Patreon post of the year if you're so inclined!
Thirdly of all, let's get into the bulk of the post.
On the 'ChazDude' side of things, 2022 most prominently marked the release of Potatoman: Wrath of Phrax. Not quite the longest in terms of pages (Regrown has that accolade) but certainly the most impressive visuals wise. Other events in the Dave & Carl universe included hijinks such as Dave getting flash mobbed and Carl eating a lettuce burger. Never a dull moment with those two, and 2023 will surely contain further such moments.
On the real world side of things, you'd think 2022 would be a period of post-Covid normalcy after the blur that was 2020 and 2021. Events like a conflict in Ukraine or a certain monarch popping her clogs have somewhat dented that notion. For someone possessing an interest both in world affairs and creating visual entertainment, there's obviously been quite a few occasions of the two morphing together. On a related note, there will be one more comic (and thus one more news post) for this year on Friday, which just so happens to be a certain anniversary...
That's the thing about art; it's a fine way of expressing oneself, unlike the jumbled, lazy mess that is artificial intelligence. There's no art without human eyes overseeing it, and this site has taken the sane and wise decision to banish A.I. from the portals. Cheers, Tom!
On the topic of NG, something I'd quite like to do for 2023 is be more active when it comes to the social aspect of the site rather than just putting art and comics out there, moreso since apartheid emerald man took over the blue bird site. Back to the topic of art though, assuming the Art Portal finally gets co-authoring functionality I'm also quite keen to test that out with some other art-minded folk who lurk this place!
NG would be nothing without its community. A community-oriented site, even if small, will always be superior to a corporate husk. Speaking of the community, as I type this I still await one of the trademark Christmas cards produced by none other than @DrSevenSizeMD. I look forward to receiving it, along with the sea of glitter accompanying it!
Do you get Christmas cards from YouTubers or fellow Tweeters? No? I thought not.

Thank you for reading these ramblings of mine. Let 2023 be a tolerable, if not happy year. Allow me to end this post with arguably the greatest Lego set of all time.
