My first presidential election, I voted for Bill Clinton, and in retrospect it was a really crappy decision, that set the stage for gutting our economy, which happened soon after he left office, and the dot com bubble burst. Sadly there are too many people who vote Tory because they think that asking the rich to pay just a bit more to help everyone in society is "urrgh evil communist terrorist lovers!!!111"
...not to mention cutting police, contributing to these attacks.
