Yer dun goofed
Pfffff lol.
Why must you laugh at mah pain :'c
I just laught bcz you think that the Brexit mean the end of the world.
If your ancestors see this, they will be happy for their country.
yes,we did
What a fucking headache.
Do the people that want to leave know that it'll probably take years and years for the UK to disentangled? The Scots wanted to remain in, doesn't that bring up the possibility they'll collectively say "Fuck the UK!" and leave it?
What about the Irish?!
Yeah, we just committed suicide basically.
@someaveragechap - there is even an internet petition about declaring independence by London and joining the EU again. Scots could want another secession referendum, Irish could do that too - or repeat the "border poll" and join Ireland instead. It's Cameron who fucked up and his irresponsible politics. Extremely shortsighted. They created a mess they won't be able to clean now.
since I am a Yank to you guys, what is this thing about really?
It's too soon for that. You need to wait before consequences start showing up.
@HerbieG it's been reported that Cameron thought up the idea at a pizza joint in Chicago. Don't know if that's true or not but man... the Irish border is gonna be weird. Doubt people will be too thrilled for armed checkpoints going up again.
Chaz, don't let the bad news keep ya down. There's a well spring of comedy to be found. Just that it might be akin to dead baby jokes.
You're right.
I need to chin up and hope for the best in a situation like this, or at least try.
For some reason I decided to follow this topic since this situation can really matter for the whole Europe. Let's see what will be the effect of that petition for another poll, it already gained attention of over 2 000 000 people.
The exiting process will also not be immediate, it will take years. New agreement will have to be reached between EU and UK. EU will probably need a new treaty. And - I am not an expert in this matter - is it possible for the British government to oppose the results or is it obliged to do as the voters said?
By the way, there was an interesting football match during Euro 2016, again "stay" vs "leave" and again "leave" won when Wales defeated Northern Ireland.
@Anarkat - it is not only the problem of UK. Just take a look around. Nationalism, xenophobia and fascistic attitudes are spreading all around Europe, it's already all over the place. Just wait for another few years and sooner or later Europe will go Nazi again, this time even without Hitler or Mussolini.
