T-minus 24 hours (give or take) 'til release from the point of this post being published.

So, tomorrow's the day that Potatoman Begins finally wraps up. To celebrate, here's a bunch of facts not just about the finale, but about the whole series in general! It's a bit hefty:

• Time taken: 29 June 2016 - 17 June 2017 (11 months, 2 weeks and 5 days)
• Combined filesize: Approximately 42.3 Megabytes (pretty 'effin' yuge)
• Number of panels: 170+154+173+221 across four chapter = 718​

In late 2015/early 2016 I made a comic containing a Potatoman reference in the background. That poster wasn't just a reference however (as suggested by one reviewer):

I supposed that last paragraph of mine didn't quite make it in. Oh well.

By April of the following year I had begun writing Potatoman's backstory in my sketchbook. While I had to sacrifice one of the three-weekly D&C strips to make room for it, I felt it was time for some storytelling, not just the usual humourous gags. Thursday marks the end of that journey into heroism. It's been fun doing something truly story-driven over the past year or so. And in the future, I hope to continue that!
